Rethinking Materials for Sustainable Architecture
On 1 October 2026, Äerd Lab’s 3D-printed clay bricks and panels were featured in Thoughts on Materials, an exhibition hosted by Jim Clemes Associates in Esch-sur-Alzette during Luxembourg Architecture Days 2026.
The exhibition brought together innovative approaches to sustainable architecture, highlighting local, bio-based, recycled and emerging materials.
Äerd Lab presented its clay-based building solutions, demonstrating how local clay and construction waste can be transformed into innovative architectural elements through 3D printing, offering a more resource-efficient alternative to conventional materials.
The event provided an opportunity to exchange ideas with architects and designers and explore new possibilities for more sustainable construction.
